CARMEN ORTIZ
Carmen Ortiz, 91, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at a local hospital.
Mrs. Ortiz was born in Saltillo, Mexico and had been a life long resident.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ignacio Ortiz Rosas.
Parents, Enrique and Maria de Jesus Leos.
Son, Jose Miguel Ortiz.
She is survived by her children, Maria Guadalupe Ruiz, Francisca Hernandez, Ignacio (Maria Guadalupe) Ortiz, Enrique Ortiz, Juanita Rodriguez, Lucy Ortiz, Carmen (Jesus) Urbina, Teresa Cuellar, and Jorge (Sonia) Ortiz.
23 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2015 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
