CARMEN A. SALAZAR
La Sra. Carmen Salazar falleció en paz en su hogar el sábado 8 de marzo de 2025 a la edad de 91 años, rodeada de su familia.
La Sra. Salazar fue una querida esposa, madre, abuela y bisabuela.
La Sra. Salazar nació en Matamoros, Tamaulipas. Se casó con el amor de su vida en 1957 y posteriormente se mudó a Laredo, Texas. Dedicó su vida a su familia. La generosidad de Carmelita no tenía límites. Su principal razón de vida era darlo todo a su familia y atesorar esos momentos. Será recordada por cocinar y ser anfitriona de reuniones familiares. Hasta el final, tuvo una fe inmensa que transmitió a su familia. Que Dios los acompañe hasta que nos volvamos a encontrar; guárdennos un lugar.
Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, el Sr. y la Sra. Aníbal Arzamendi, su hermano Manuel Arzamendi y su hermana Elvira Lozano. A la Sra. Carmen Salazar le sobreviven su esposo, el Sr. César Salazar, y sus hijos: María del Carmen Salazar, Sandra Valdez (Joe), Claudia (Robert) Lambert y César (Sonia) Salazar Jr. También le sobreviven sus nietos, bisnietos, sobrinos y sobrinas. PORTADORES DEL FÉRETRO: César Salazar Jr., Robert Lambert, Héctor Cabral Jr., Michael Cabral, José Carlos Castillo, Frank Puente, Javier Arzamendi y Gerardo Arzamendi. La familia agradece al médico de Carmelita, Arturo Garza-Góngora, y a sus enfermeras, Jerry, Jorge y Clemente. También agradecemos a sus cuidadoras, Griselda, Norma, Gaby y Juanita y también al maravilloso personal de Altus Hospice Care por toda su atención y cuidado.

El velatorio se llevará a cabo el sábado 15 de marzo de 2025, de 8:00 a. m. a 10:30 a. m., en la Capilla Hernández, López e Hijos de Northside, ubicada en la calle Boston 800 y la avenida San Bernardo. Se oficiará un rosario a las 9:00 a. m. en la capilla de la funeraria. La procesión fúnebre saldrá de la capilla de la funeraria a las 10:30 a. m. La Santa Misa se celebrará a las 11:00 a. m. en la Iglesia Católica Madre Cabrini. El servicio de sepelio y el entierro se realizarán posteriormente en el Cementerio Católico del Calvario. Los preparativos están a cargo de la Capilla Hernández, López e Hijos de Northside, ubicada en la calle Boston 800 y la avenida San Bernardo.

Mrs. Carmen Salazar died peacefully at home on Saturday March 8, 2025 at the age of 91 surrounded by family.
Mrs. Salazar was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Mrs. Salazar was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas. She married the love of her life in 1957 and later moved to Laredo, TX. She dedicated her life to her family. Carmelita's generosity knew no bounds. Her main reason for living was to give her all to her family and cherish those moments. She will be remembered for her cooking and hosting family gatherings. To the very end, she had an immense faith that was passed on to her family. God be with you 'till we meet again; save a place for us.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Anibal Arzamendi, brother Manuel Arzamendi, and sister Elvira Lozano.
Mrs. Carmen Salazar is survived by her husband Mr. Cesar Salazar and her children: Maria Del Carmen Salazar, Sandra Valdez (Joe), Claudia (Robert) Lambert and Cesar (Sonia) Salazar Jr. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, many nieces, and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Carmelita's doctor, Arturo Garza-Gongora, her nurses Jerry, Jorge, and Clemente. We would also like to thank her caregivers Griselda, Norma, Gaby, and Juanita and also the wonderful staff of Altus Hospice Care for all their attentiveness and care.
Mrs. Carmen Salazar will remain in our hearts forever.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. A Rosary was officiated by Rev. Deacon Leonard Aguillon, was held in the funeral home chapel before a funeral procession departed the funeral home chapel for a Holy Mass which was celebrated at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal Services and interment then followed in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
PALLBEARERS WERE: Cesar Salazar Jr., Robert Lambert, Hector Cabral Jr., Michael Cabral, Jose Carlos Castillo, Carlos Salazar Javier Arzamendi, and Gerardo Arzamendi.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave.
