Obituary

Carolina J. (Nina) Dovalina peacefully passed away in her home on Monday, March 25, 2024.

Carolina was born in Laredo, TX and was a lifelong resident. She married Daniel Dovalina on December, 27, 1964. She graduated high school in 1961, attended Laredo Junior College, and retired from LISD in 2008.
Carolina, affectionately known as Nina, was not only the matriarch of the family, but she was the life of every party. Her infectious smile and laughter turned ordinary moments into extraordinary ones. In her entire adult life, she made sure her family ate 3 square meals a day. One would never leave her home with an empty stomach. Nina's days were filled with loving her family and spoiling her grandchildren. The memories of Nina will forever be cherished by her family and those who knew her.

Nina was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mama Carlotta Juarez; her mother, Guadalupe Juarez; and her brother, Santiago Juarez.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Dovalina, and children: Daniel Dovalina Jr. (Cynthia Valdez), Guillermo Dovalina (Kim Dovalina), Corina Martinez (Felipe Martinez), Cristina Arellano (Ismael Arellano), and Claudia Walker Mendoza (Fernando Mendoza); her grandchildren: Daniel Dovalina III, (Crystal Dovalina), Nicolas Dovalina, Diana Cardoso (David Abarca), John Klebe, Katrina Garcia, Austyn Dovalina (Irandeny Gonzalez), Samantha Dovalina, Sofia Dovalina, Thomas Walker, Mateo Martinez, Maya Walker, and Carissa Arellano; and great-grand children: Jayce Klebe, Harper Klebe, Steven J. Dominguez, Jaxon Dovalina, Athena Abarca, Misael Gonzalez. She is also survived by multiple nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 28, 2024 departing from the Hernandez Lopez & Sons, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. Laredo, TX. 78041 . A chapel service was held at the funeral home before committal services and interment which followed at the Laredo City Cemetery-Veterans Section.

HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Daniel Dovalina Sr., Steven Jaciel Dominguez and Nicolas Dovalina.
