CATARINA M. SANCHEZ Catarina M. Sanchez, 91, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at a local hospital. Mrs. Sanchez was born in Bryan, Texas and had been a resident of Laredo, Texas for most of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, Agapito and Elodia Mata. Spouse, Cleofas Sanchez. Daughter, Irma G. Lopez. Son, Victor Sanchez. Brothers, Celestino Mata, Antonio Mata and Ernesto Mata. Sisters, Francisca Bondoc, Gregoria M. Almanza and Nicolasa Villanueva. She is survived by her Children, Roberto (Aurora) Sanchez and Isidra S. Guerrero (Hector Chacon). Brothers, Manuel (Imelda) Mata and Martin (Martha) Mata. Sister, Constancia Mata. Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Church.
