CATARINA VILLARREAL Catarina Villarreal, 94, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2014 at a local hospital. Mrs. Villarreal was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carlos and Maria de Jesus Perez. Spouse, Abel Villarreal. Daughter, Zulema Gutierrez. She is survived by her sons and daughters, Abel T. ( Rosa ) Villarreal, Maria de Jesus Franco, Juan G. Villarreal, Armando ( Sucet ) Villarreal, Arturo ( Hilda ) Villarreal and Alicia Mora. many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapel, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral Services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
