Obituary

CECILIA MINERVA ARCE

Cecilia Minerva Arce,91, devoted daughter and beloved sister, aunt and educator passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025 surrounded by her family.

Cecilia dedicated her life to teaching. From 1958 until the closing of St. Francis Cabrini School. She taught kindergartners the fundamentals with a patient and loving hand. She gave her students a solid foundation in both religion and academics and her legacy lives on in the many students she inspired.

Cecilia was a devoted catholic and an active member of both St. Francis Cabrini and Holy Redeemer Church, where she continued to live her faith through charity and example.

Cecilia was known to rescue and heal all of God's creatures especially any baby bird in distress. She loved and cared for her beloved bird "Baby" whom she taught how to whistle "Buenos Dias Paloma Blanca". She never knew a jigsaw puzzle she couldn't solve. The more pieces the better. There is no doubt that the birds will sing upon her heavenly arrival.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Eulogia F. Arce.†
Father, Eugenio A. Arce†
She is survived by her sisters and brothers, Maria Aurora (Jose) Gamboa, Twin sister Teresa de Jesus Arce, Jose Luis (Graciela†) Arce, Elida (Robert) Allison, Maria Imelda Arce and Juan Alberto Arce.
