CECILIA FUENTES Cecilia Fuentes, 88, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2012 at a local hospital. Mrs. Fuentes was born in Cotulla, Texas and had been a resident of Laredo, Texas for most of her life. She is preceded in death by parents, Leopoldo and Manuela S. Fuentes. Her loving husband, Isidro Fuentes. She is survived by her children, Antonia (Jesus,+) Fuentes, Marcelina (Apolinar) Aleman Jr., Juanita (Juan,+) Guevara, Raul (Teresa) Fuentes, Jose Luis Fuentes, Guadalupe (Daniel) Garcia, Esther (Ignacio,+) Reyes, Rosario (Reinaldo) Nino, Juan (Gracia) Fuentes and Manuela (Jesus) Salas. 34 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren. Siblings, Prudencio Fuentes, Leopoldo Fuentes, Eusebia De Leon, Juanita Martinez and Maria De Jesus Mendez. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2012 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday, October 8, 2012 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
