CECILIA BOCANEGRA GONZALEZ

Cecilia Bocanegra Gonzalez, 95, entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 17, with her son Jaime E. Gonzalez and daughter Elena R. Gonzalez at her side.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Juvenal Gonzalez 1975, son Juvenal Gonzalez Jr 2017, her parents, Marcelino Bocanegra 1934 and Eulalia Mendiola Bocanegra 1935, and sisters, Maria Luisa Carabajal, Amelia Sauceda and Hortencia Sauceda.  She is also predeceased by dear and long- time friends, Maria Esther de las Fuentes, Carrie Esparza Saenz, Betsy Gil and Lala Lopez.

Cecilia is survived by her son, Jaime(wife Rene) and daughter, Elena (husband John Herrera), grandchildren, Mirel and John Herrera, step granddaughters, Hailey and Whitney Coots, a sister, Manuela Davila, many nieces and nephews and their children, other relatives, and many friends.

The family would like to acknowledge the staff of the Laredo Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and former caregiver, Mine Perez, for their loving care, and family and friends who have prayed for her and have been supportive to her and the family these last years of her life.

Visitation was Wednesday, April 22, from 4:00 to 9:00 pm, with rosary at 7:00 pm.  A private church service at Christ the King Church was held Thursday, April 23. with internment following at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Honorary Pallbearers were her grandchildren and step grandchildren.
