CECILIA ORTIZ 10/30/1921 - 08/30/2012 Cecilia Ortiz, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at a local retirement Home at the age of 91. Mrs. Ortiz was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vicente and Paz Villarreal; by her Sister, Maria De Jesus Luna; her brothers, Benito Villarreal, Juan Villarreal and Manuel Villarreal and by her nephew, Casimiro Villarreal. She is survived by her niece and nephews, Juan Alberto Villarreal, Arturo Villarreal, Gilberto Villarreal ,Ana Cecilia Valdez,other nieces, nephews The De Anda's, the Castaneda's, the Pineda's, the Dougherty and Esther Bernal. Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Regent Care Center and their staff, to Dr. Luis Benavides and his staff and her caretaker from Nurses On Wheels Veronica Martinez. The family bit her farewell on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Funeral Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will then take place with committal services and interment at the Panteon Municipal Antiguo in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas Mexico.
