CLAUDIO LANDIN Claudio Landin passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at the age of 87. Mr. Landin was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. He was a veteran of World War II in which he served with the United States Navy from 1942 up until his discharge in 1945. He then re-enlisted with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was wounded in action. He was decorated with the Purple Heart for the injuries he sustained during the conflict. He then returned to Laredo to fulfill his lifelong dreams and enjoy life with his family. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 35 years of marriage Maria Landin, by his son Ricardo Landin, his parents Humberto Landin and Estela Landin, by his brothers Luis Jorge Landin and Melecio Landin and by his sister-in-law Angelina Landin. He is survived by his two children; Alex (Linda) Landin and Lucila (Ricardo) Palacios. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His brothers; Oscar Humberto Landin, Alvaro (Zulema) Landin, Carlos (Terry) Landin and Maria Estela Claxton. His two sisters-in-law : Bertha Landin and Rosa Hilda Landin. Also surviving him are numerous other relatives and many friends. Committal services will be held at a later date. Services are under the direction of the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave.
