Obituary

On November 20, 2022 Conrado D. Gamboa Jr. went to join his wife of 50 years Yolanda S

Gamboa in Heaven. Conrado was surrounded by family members when he was called by his maker, Lord

Almighty, his final journey home.

Conrado D. Gamboa Jr. was a man who had many loves in his life. The first love was to his wife of 50

years by the name of Yolanda Saenz. The second love was his family. His third love was his ranch. The

fourth love was his morning routine at Safari and Whataburger.

Conrado and Yolanda spend the next 50 years together raising a family, together they shared

and enjoying the success that each of their children gained as young adults. Conrado spend thirteen

years without his love, going daily to the cemetery to show his love and respect. His pride and joy were

the family gatherings. All of the old and young adults, grandkids and great-grandkids would gather for

special events such as Father's Day, Christmas, Easter, and Birthday parties. They traveled to Hawaii,

Disneyland, and many other locations in the United States, and Mexico.

Conrado loved the ranch. The ranch "Don Pablo" in Oilton was like a second home. If he could

have, he would have built a house there and live. The ranch provided many memories of him and his

grandfather and the work that they did there. The ranch due to his grandfather (who was his father

figure) was his life. His Dad died during World War II which inspired him to join the armed forces. He

served in the 49 th Armored Division Company C. Conrado loved to share his stories giving sound advice,

laughing and telling jokes to his grandkids. He really enjoyed going to the ranch with his family to

celebrate special events.

Conrado loved having his breakfast with his friends (La Palomia). He was a regular at Safari come rain or

shine. He and his compadres would gather and tell long winded tales, and what the latest gossip of the

day was. Employees knew him very well and requested the same meal without saying a word. They

knew what he loved to eat in the morning. They greeted him with a warm welcome and a hot cup of

coffee each morning.

Conrado was born October 17, 1938 to his father Conrado D. Gamboa and Diamantina L.

Gamboa. Conrado's father was killed in November 18, 1944 in France during World War II. He was the

only child for the couple.

Conrado was proceeded in death by his parents Conrado D. Gamboa Sr. and Diamantina L.

Gamboa. His wife of 50 years Yolanda Gamboa. He is also preceded by Juventino and Ramona Lopez

who helped raise Conrado.

Conrado leaves behind his three children Cynthia (Vincent) Wright, Conrado (Jennifer) D.

Gamboa III, and Elsa (Ernesto) Teach. He also had 7 grandchildren Ashley N. (Thomas) Waymouth, Amy

  1. Wright-Ramirez, C. David Gamboa, Monica E. (Zachary) Chapman, Cristian D. Gamboa, Michael S.

Teach (Fiancé Carley Buddenbaum) , Christina V. Teach. In addition, Conrado had 3 great grandchildren

Jacob T. Ramirez, Emily M. Ramirez, and Cameron E. Chapman.

Also surviving him are cousins (G. Garza, F. Pena, S. Laurel), brother/sister in laws (Saenz family),

numerous other relatives and many friends.

Conrado will be greatly missed and he will always be remembered in the hearts of his beloved family

and friends.
