CRISTINA CONTRERAS
Cristina Contreras, 98, passed away on December 30, 2017 at a local hospital.
Mrs. Contreras was born in Taylor, Texas and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Albino and Josefina Contreras.
Spouse, Francisco Ruiz.
Sons, Juan Ruiz Contreras and Victor Contreras.
Daughter, Graciela Cantu.
She is survived by her children, Pedro (Aurelia) Ruiz Contreras, Gloria Gomez, Rosa Hilda Palacios and Lourdes Contreras.
Many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Brother, Jesus (Viola) Garza.
Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 03, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 04, 2018 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
