DANIEL LEAL, SR. Daniel Leal Sr., 63, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at a local hospital. Mr. Leal was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident. He is preceded in death by his parents, Merced and Celestina Leal. Brother, Ernesto Leal Sisters, Maria Elena Sanchez, Francisca Leal and Belen Padilla. He is survived by his loving wife, Rosa Leal for 44 years of marriage. Children, Daniel (Elva) Leal, Jr., Sergio Ernesto (Selina Gonzalez) Leal and Zulema Guadalupe Leal. Grandchildren, Luis Daniel Leal, Abel Vidal Leal, Karina Celestina Leal, Krista Isabel Leal and Victoria Alexandra Arias. Brother, Alfredo (Beatriz) Leal and Sister-in-law, Fabiola Garcia. Also surviving him are nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2014 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
