Obituary

DANIEL ZAMARRIPA

Daniel Zamarripa 85, passed away on Wednesday August 05,2020 in Laredo,Texas.

He joined the U.S. Army at the young age of 18.  He was awarded the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, and National Defense Service Medal.  He was Honorably Discharged after serving his county. He returned to Laredo to serve his community as a Mechanic with Sames Ford and The City of Laredo until his retirement.

Daniel was a loving  husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mateo & Maria Zamarripa, siblings Rodolfo Zamarripa, Conception Zamarripa, Pedro Zamarripa, Amelia Amaya, Fausto Zamarripa, Ofelia Zamarripa and Felipe Zamarripa.

Daniel is survived by his  loving wife, of 64 years of marriage, Ruth Zamarripa.

His children, Diana (Edward) Everett, Daniel (Veronica) Zamarripa,  Raul Zamarripa, Roberto (Liza) Zamarripa, Sandra (David) Martinez, Sara (Javier) Villa, Rebecca (Fernando Jr.) Alarcon,  Cyndi (Jay) Barajas.

16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brother, Paulo (Gloria) Zamarripa, other relatives and many friends.

Private Service Due To COVID 19.

Following the Ordinance by the State of Texas, Visitations will be limited to 40 people inside our funeral home.
It is preferred for minor children not be allowed  to attend services.
Services are under the direction of the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Information with regard to the funeral services may be obtained by calling (956) 723-2979.
