DAVID " LA CHANCLA" GARCIA
David "La Chancla" Garcia, 61, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025 in Laredo, Texas.
Mr. Garcia was born in Wisconsin and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years of marriage, Maria Lourdes Garcia, who passed away on August 22, 2024.
Parents, Sabas and Aurora Garcia.
Sisters, San Juana Hernandez and Maria Alberta Garcia.
Brothers, Elifonso Garcia, Sabas Garcia Jr., Juan Antonio Garcia, Reynaldo Garcia,.
Nephews, Humberto Rene Martinez and Guillermo Beltran Jr.
Mother-in-law, Juanita M. Garcia.
Brothers-in-law, Pablo Martinez, Lorenzo Hernandez, Jose Francisco Medina Jr. and Jesus Magaña Jr.
He is survived by his daughter, Deborah (Gilberto Rodriguez) Garcia.
Grandchildren, Karina Rodriguez and Kayla Rodriguez.
Siblings, Esther Garcia, Pablo (Celia) Garcia, Leticia (Roberto+) Lopez, Rogelio (Elida) Garcia and Elizabeth (Fernando) Barrientos.
Sisters-in-law, Maria Xochitl (Juan Antonio Gomez) Magaña, Susana (Alfredo Campos) Medina and Jose Garcia Jr.
Also surviving him are numerous nephews, nieces other relatives and many friends.
The family would like to offer their heartfelt gratitude to his brother-in-law Fernando Barrientos for attending to Mr. Garcia's every need during this difficult time, He was with him up until his final hours.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and a Liturgy of the Word and rosary will be officiated at 7:00 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Funeral Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. Funeral Services will begin Saturday December 6, 2025 at 8:30 a.m. departing from the funeral home chapel, Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal service and interment will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
