DAVID E. DE LA CRUZ David E. De La Cruz, 80, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at a local retirement home. Mr. De La Cruz was born in Cacahuacan, Mexico and had been a resident of Laredo for most of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose De La Cruz and Roselia Gutierrez. By his loving wife, Gloria De La Cruz. Son, Guillermo De La Cruz. He is survived by his children, Angelica P. (Mary Jane) De La Cruz, Jose G. (Siggley) De La Cruz, Roselia (John) Hancock, Rene (Beatriz) De La Cruz, Dora L. De La Cruz, Eva (Juan) Martinez, Alfonso (Maria) De La Cruz, David (Patricia) De La Cruz, Amessing (Araceli) De La Cruz, Jorge De La Cruz, Seim (Brenda) De La Cruz, Ana M. Rodriguez and Miguel A. Rodriguez. 30 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. His sister, Elsa (Jack) Moffatt. Also surviving him are numerous other relatives and many friends. Committal services and interment will be held at a later date. Funeral services are under the direction of the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave.
