DIANA MARIA G. DIAZ
Diana Maria G. Diaz, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away in Spring, Texas on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at the young age of 67.
Diana was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. She attended "Laredo Martin High School Class of 1969", where she was very active as a cheerleader and in the Pep Squad.
After graduation, she married the love of her life, Norberto Diaz Jr. They moved to Chicago, IL and she obtained a career with Southwestern Bell as an Operator and worked until she obtained a position as a Supervisor. She lived in Chicago for many years. Then her career moved her to Houston, where she later retired. She was a loving and free spirit, who never gave up on you no matter who or what. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and many friends.
She is preceded in death, by her beloved husband, of over 44 years of marriage, Norberto Diaz Jr., who passed away on August 13, 2014.
Her parents Mr. and Mrs. Raul Garza Sr. and Juanita M. Garza. Her sister, Maria Magdalena (Miguel Rogelio Diaz) Diaz. She is survived by her three sons, Norberto Diaz III, Nathan Michael Diaz and Nicholas Eli Diaz. Grandchildren, Alejandro Miguel Diaz, Alexis Nichol Diaz and Antonio Miguel Diaz. Brothers and sisters, Raul (Mary) Garza , Jose Guadalupe (Santos) Garza, Dora (Armando) Moreno and Olivia (Adolfo+) Guajardo. Grand-Aunt, Josefina "Josie" Garza. Her best friend, her dog, "Pappi".Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be celebrated at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Funeral Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. Funeral Services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2018. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will be held on a later date.
