Also surviving her are numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and many many friends.
First and foremost Diana was a loving and strong willed mother and grandmother who always showed her children and grandchildren loving care and empathy. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, she would go above and beyond for them, there was nothing that they wanted that grandma wouldn't get for them. She said they gave her life with every hug she got from them. She left a huge imprint in their lives that will continue throughout generations to come.
Diana was a business woman at heart learning it from her father (Pepe). She started working at the Laredo Morning Times at a young age, then alongside her father in the family Produce Business. Once she restructured the family business she ventured out on her own and started working for Mr. Roberto Vela owner of Kwik Kopy printing. It was there that she began to extend to her network with local businesses and many friendships for over 30 years. She enjoyed working alongside her work colleagues who she considered family on a daily basis. Sophia, Lesly, Enrique, Juan, Joe, Rosa and the late Lalo were her work family and looked forward to seeing them every work day and appreciated them very much.
We were lucky to have our very own "Mother Teresa" as we would sometimes refer to her with love, but it was because she was such a kind and caring woman who helped everyone and anyone who needed help without expecting anything in return.
She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her, but we know she is in heaven with her parents and brother who she longed to reunite with. She may not be present physically but we know she will be alongside her family until we reunite together in God's kingdom.
