DOLORES V. GARCIA Dolores V. Garcia, 87, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at a local hospital. Mrs. Garcia was a life long resident of Roma, Texas and spent her retired life in Laredo, Texas. Mrs. Garcia was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Socorro Valdez. Spouse, Alfonso Garcia. Sisters, Maria De Jesus Valdez and Rebecca (Ramiro) Cantu. Great-granddaughter, Shelby Garza. Brother-in-Law, Leopoldo Hernandez. She is survived by her children, Patricia (Roberto "Gerardo") Salinas and Ricardo A. (Jacquiline) Garcia. Grandson, Oscar (Michelle) Vasquez Jr. Granddaughters, Christina (Rosendo) Ornelas and Deanna Dolores Garcia. Great-granddaughter, Abigail Liana Vasquez. Brother, Pablo (Bertha) Valdez. Sisters, Josefina Hernandez and Concepcion (William) Clark. Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 10:05 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2013 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
