DOMINGO OLIVA JR. 02/15/1931 - 09/03/2012 Our father Domingo Oliva Jr. passed away September 3, 2012 at the age of 81. Mr. Oliva was born in Pawnee, Texas but had been a resident of Laredo most of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents Domingo and Refugia Oliva, and by his grandson Samuel Gonzalez Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years of marriage Adalia Oliva. His children Juan A (Rosa I) Oliva, Ricardo (Martha E.) Oliva, Guadalupe (Ruben) Herrera, Eliza (Mario A.) Flores and Adalia (Samuel) Gonzalez. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren . His sisters and brother: Tomasa (Andres +) Garcia, Maria (Fidel) Rodriguez, Francisca (Macario +) Ortiz, Matilde Soto and Genovevo (Maria) Oliva. Also surviving him are numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing at 8 a.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2012 from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
