Domitila C.
Alcantar
May 7, 2025
To honor the memory of Mrs. Alcantar, her family will be wearing lavender or floral colors to celebrate her life. Should those attending the services wish to wear similar attire, it would be very meaningful to the family and wholeheartedly appreciated.
It is with peaceful and loving hearts that we announce the passing of our most beloved mother,
Domitila. Our mother was a devout Catholic whose love for God and her faith strengthened her
loving and compassionate nature.
She was a daughter to Petra Ramirez and Ladislao Cortez and an unwavering support system for
her sisters Angelina, Trinidad, Maria, and her brother Agapito who preceded her in death. We
are very grateful to our Aunt Natividad Ramirez, her sister, who accompanied her on her last journey as she had always done through the most important events of her life. We will always be grateful for the laughter and comfort she always provided for our mother. They will forever
remain the Dynamic Duo.
The saying "a way to a man's heart is through his stomach" was never truer than for our
wonderful father, Inocencio Alcantar, to whom she was married for 39 years until his passing.
Her meals always transmitted the warm hugs, consolation, praise, and love that she felt for
everyone. Her recipes were never measured by cups and tablespoons but by the heart.
It was with that love that she nurtured her daughters Ana (Mariano) Alcantar, Dora Patricia (Juan +)
Sendejo, Angelica (David) Pena, Gloria (Mario) Martinez, Graciela (Francisco) Rodriguez, Victoria
(Baltazar) Garcia, Blanca (Gilberto) Pulido, Claudia Alcantar, Elizabeth (Marco) Longoria, and
Sylvia Alcantar.
She will remain an inspiration of love, laughter, and determination for her grandchildren: Juan
Jesus Sendejo, Emmanuel Sendejo, Vicente (Mori) Sendejo, Isaiah (Sara) Pena, Alexandra Pena,
Francisco Ruiz, Alyzza Martinez, Sharia Martinez, Roselyn Martinez, Ina Martinez, Gabriela
(Joseph) Michki, Katalina (Joseph) Lopez, Francisco X. Rodriguez, Gilbert Pulido Jr, Ann Pulido,
Daniel Pulido, Marco T. Longoria, Rosa N. Longoria, Viviana Alvarez, Angel Alvarez and great
grandchild Vicentito Sendejo.
Domitila was always happy to pray and serve the Lord as a passionate parishioner of Mother
Cabrini Church. Alongside her prayer group, she worked tirelessly to bring the word of God to
as many as she could. Her cooking skills were her instrument to raise funds for charitable
causes or Charismatic conferences. She was always willing and available to pray for those who
needed solace and comfort.
Her kindness and devotion will be also missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and
countless friends who were able to witness that miraculous smile that touched hearts.
