DORA "GIMA" CHAVEZ
Dora "Gima" Chavez, 78, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018 in Laredo, Texas.
Mrs. Chavez was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a lifelong resident.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, of 52 years of marriage, Antonio Chavez, who passed away on February 21, 2018.
Parents, Pedro and Cipriana Castro.
Sisters, Concepcion Gutierrez and Delfina Gamez.
She is survived by her children, Sylvia Chavez, Elvia (Adrian) Lopez, Grace (Moctezuma) Rodriguez and Cynthia (Lewis) Wagner.
Grandchildren, Kayla Lopez, Nathaniel Lopez, Adan Rodriguez, Ivan Rodriguez, Emma Rodriguez, Ashton Wagner and Anthony Wagner.
Sisters, Elena (Carlos) Flores and Family, Alicia Wilson (Martin) and Family.
Also survived by Jose (Tina) Chavez and Miguel Chavez.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Monica Y. Garza and Family.
Also surviving her are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday September 1, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. A Vigil of the Deceased will be officiated by the Rev. Deacon Miguel Vallarta at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Services will conclude at noon. Committal services will be held at a later date.
