DORA MARTINEZ
Dora Martinez, 95, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016 at a local hospital.
Mrs. Martinez was born in Los Angeles, California
and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Benita Martinez.
Brothers, Louis E. Martinez, Fidel Martinez, Martin Martinez and Ernesto Martinez.
Sisters, Sara Villalpando, Margarita Gomez, Benita Vasquez, Esther Garcia and Luz Martinez.
She is survived by her daughters, Herlinda V. Castro and Ernestina (John) Vidaurri.
Grandchildren, Jose Luis (Nydia) Castro, Jeannie R. (Rudy) Ochoa, Joanne M. (George) Aguirre and James S. (Patsy) Castro.
Great-grandchildren, Ernestina Castro, Melissa Castro, Rudy X. (Ruby) Ochoa, Ryan A. Ochoa, Randy P. Ochoa, Judy Dyann Castro, Isabella Rose Castro, Camila Grace Castro and Calista Faith Castro.
Sister, Armandina (Sixto) Martinez.
Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m., by the Catholic Daughters – St. Mary Magdalene, and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2016 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
