She is preceded in death by her parents, Longino and Gregoria Chavez Sr.

Her beloved husband, Ventura Hernandez.

Brothers, Longino Chavez Jr., Alberto Chavez and Antonio Chavez.

Baby, Manuel Chavez.

Sisters, Baby Doris Chavez, Elsa Chavez Skyles and Elia Chavez Enriquez.

She is survived by her children, Brenda (Adiel) Contreras, Daisy (Caleb) Zavala, Mayra (SAul) Canales, Myrna (Rolando) Arredondo and Ventura Hernandez Jr.

Grandchildren, Adiel Contreras III, Victor Contreras, Natlee Contreras, Daniel Contreras, Stephanie Zavala and Elize Zavala.

3 great grandchildren.

Brothers, Gerardo (Sylvia) Chavez, Alonzo (Margie) Chavez, Jose (Lena†) Chavez, Raymond Chavez and Manuel Chavez.

Sister, Elba (Jose Antonio) Huerta.

Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a vigil of the deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.   Funeral Services will begin with a Litergy of the Word at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 in the funeral home chapel.  Commttal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
