EDNA C. GARCIA Edna C. Garcia, 98, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at a local hospital. Mrs. Garcia was born in Santo Tomas, Webb County. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesus B. Garcia and Zenaida C. Castaneda. She is survived by her 2 sons, Samuel (Lupita) Oliveros and Victor (Rosa Maria) Oliveros and Carolina Lopez whom she raised as a daughter. Grandchildren, Victor M. Oliveros, Jr., Alberto R. Oliveros, Jorge A. Oliveros, Edna Carmen Oliveros, Claudia G. Oliveros and Samuel Oliveros, Jr. Great-grandchildren, Alexandra Oliveros, Victor M. Oliveros, III., Nicolas Oliveros, Alberto Oliveros, Jr., Catherine Graciela Mickel, Roberto Carlo Gonzalez and Gabriela Gonzalez. Nephews, Raul Garcia and Samuel Castillo. Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. A chapel service will begin at 10 a.m. officiated by Pastor Dorso Maciel on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 in the funeral home chapel. Committal services and interment will immediately follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
