Eduardo "Lalo" Degollado, 55, was called to eternal rest on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at his place of residence. Mr. Degollado loved and lived life to the fullest. He was born to Manuel Pablo and Librada Amalia Degollado in Laredo, Texas. His passion for the outdoors was unbelievable. He found himself at peace with the wonders of nature. He was an advit hunter. His heart was always ready to serve at fundraisers to help others. His talent and great taste of cooking will be greatly missed. He was also very passionate in election seasons and was always ready to compete at the menudo bowls and fajita cook offs. Mr. Degollado was retired after working for U.I.S.D. for numerous years. For many years he was a member of the staff at Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Funeral Home. He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Pablo and Librada Amalia Degollado. Siblings, Ricardo Degollado, Pablo Degollado and Rosalinda Degollado. He leaves behind to morn his lost his beloved wife of 23 years of marriage, Maria A. "Toni" Degollado. Daughters, Ana Laura Degollado and Elsa Degollado (Juan) Galvan. Grandchildren, Juan Galvan, Jr., Eduardo Galvan and Jorge Galvan. Siblings, Jose C. (Esther) Degollado, Oscar (Angela) Degollado, Sandra (Humberto) Lopez, Hector (Dolores) Degollado, Manuel (Alyson) Degollado, Lorenza "Lori" Degollado and Manuel Pablo Degollado. Sisters-in-Law, Mary Jo Degollado and Elizabeth Degollado. His wonderful "friend" Princess his dog. He will be greatly missed by his nephews, nieces, cousins, numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 20, 2013 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2013 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Committal services will be held at a later date.
