ELIA PEÑA
Elia Peña, 97, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023.
Mrs. Peña was born in Mexico and was a longlife resident of Laredo, Texas. Mrs Peña was the life of the party, she always had a positive outlook in life and she enjoyed life to the fullest. She will be greatly missed by all who had come to know her firecracker attitude. In tribute to her, her last request is that everyone wear her favorite color of Red to the service."No Black allowed " was the last thing she uttered to her family. She will always be known as A great woman who inspired and instilled life's meaning to her loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Faustino De Los Santos and Guadalupe G. De Los Santos.
Siblings, Elsa De Los Santos Cisneros, Faustino De Los Santos Jr. and Angelica De Los Santos.
She is survived by her children, Maria Sara Hinojosa and Celso Peña.
Grandchildren, Sara (Guillermo Hurtado) Treviño, Rodolfo (Marina) Treviño and Emilio Cesar (Patricia) Treviño.
Great grandchildren, Haydee Venessa Villarreal, Eddie Treviño, Chelsea Nadine Hurtado, Samantha Danielle Bowers, Amanda Renee Ibarra, Brianna Aileen Treviño, Emilio Cesar Treviño Jr. and Andrew Jacob Treviño.
Great-Great grandchildren, Ishmael Treviño, Xander Mateo DeLeon, Tegan Jane DeLeon, Dominic Andres DeLeon, Isabella Treviño, Sabastian Treviño, Christian Treviño and Anastasia Treviño.
Also surviving her is her sister, Concepcion Campos, numerous other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Friday, August 25, 2023 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Holy Mass was celebrated at San Vicente de Paul Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
PALLBEARERS WERE: Rodolfo Treviño, Emilio Treviño, AJ Treviño, Guillermo Hurtado, Reynaldo Cisneros and Rafael Cisneros.
