ELIAS "Jet" FLORES Elias Flores, 83, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2011 at a local hospital. Mr. Flores was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Amparo S. Flores who passed away on December 21, 2008, and by his sister Luz F. Salinas and Isabela F. Villarreal and by his brother Julian Flores and by his parents Francisco and Guadalupe M. Flores. He is survived by his five children; Roberto Flores, Oralia F. (Juan Manuel) Jimenez, Elias (Patricia) Flores Jr., Rosario F. (Arturo) Diaz De Leon, and Teresa F. Salinas. Grandchildren; San Juanita Esmeralda (Raymond) Jimenez-Pena, Carlos Alberto Jimenez, Maria Del Rosario Diaz De Leon, Maria Teresa Salinas, Jesus Javier Salinas Jr., Monica Elizabeth Salinas, Jeanette Salinas and Juan Elias Salinas. Great-grandchildren: Alexander James Pena, Chazz Izaak Guerrero, Chadley Latrell Guerrero, Isaac Arturo Guerrero, Jose Antonio Moreno Jr. and Jorge Alberto Sepulveda. Brother and sister-in-law: Filiberto Sierra and Magdalena Sierra. Also surviving him are nephews, nieces, numerous other relatives, extended family and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
