ELIFONSO JALOMO Elifonso Jalomo, 72, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2012 in Laredo, Texas. Mr. Jalomo was born in Taft, Texas and had been a resident of Laredo, Texas for sometime. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Christina Jalomo. Grandson, David Jalomo. Parents, Eduardo and Hilaria Jalomo. Brother, Eduardo Jalomo. Sister, Rosalinda Medina. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years of marriage, Gloria G. Jalomo. Children, Sandra (Armando, dec'd) Olivares, Nelva Jalomo, Rene Jalomo, Nora Jalomo, Rachel (Jorge) Morales, Carlos Jalomo and Elva J. Cedillo. 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Siblings, Maria (Jimmy) Gonzalez, Santa (Juan, dec'd) Paez, David (Francisca) Jalomo, Concepcion (Arturo) Lara, Juan Jose (Guadalupe) Jalomo and Dora Elia (Humberto, dec'd) Mata. Also surviving him are nephews, nieces, numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:05 a.m. on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
