ELISA V. GARCIA Elisa V. Garcia, 90, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2014 in Waxahachie, Texas. Mrs. Garcia was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Refugio Garcia, Sr. Parents, Emilio Vasquez and Leandra Tovar Vasquez. Son-in-Law, Jose Eduardo Cruz. She is survived by her loving children, Santos Garcia (dec'd), Emilio (Guadalupe) Garcia, Refugio (Guadalupe) Garcia, Jr., Juan Garcia, Andrea (Osman Espinosa) Garcia Cruz, Francisca (Guadalupe) Hernandez, Victoria (Israel, dec'd) Montemayor, Elisa (Ramiro) Cortez, Domitila (Jose) Gomez, Dolores (Daniel) Romero, Rosa Garcia and Dora (Roberto) Muzquiz. Also surviving her are Carmen Garcia and Roberto Lara and Tomasita Garcia. 43 grandchildren, 101 great-grandchildren and 58 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 6, 2014 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
