ELISA HERNANDEZ Elisa Hernandez went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 6th, at the age of 86. Elisa had a very generous heart and was always giving of herself to others. She was a very hard working woman, at times working alongside her husband, Jose Hernandez, of 59 years of marriage. She loved her family and thrived on being surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, in spite of her health. She will be greatly and dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her son, Jose Gerardo Hernandez. Her sister, Bertha Camacho. Her brothers, Rogelio Robles and Leobardo Robles. Her parents, Rosalio and Petra Robles. Surviving her are her husband, Jose Hernandez. Her children, Elisa H. (Alfredo) Pena, Javier (Jesusa) Hernandez, Elsa Hernandez (Raymond Berrones) and Sylvia (Gerardo) Villarreal. Fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, September 11, 2015 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
