ELVA LETICIA DE LEON Elva Leticia De Leon, ended her battle with Cancer at the age of 57, on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at a local hospital. Mrs. De Leon was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident. She was employed with the office of Dr. Luis Zaffirini for over 29 Years. She is preceded in death by her loving parents Narciso & Maria Isabel Martinez. Siblings, Jesus Alfredo, Raul Martinez, Elia Recio and Emilio Martinez. Nephews, Humberto Rene Martinez, Jorge Recio and Raul Recio. She is survived by her loving husband Gilberto Martinez. Children, Karla De Leon, Alfredo (Kimberly) Martinez, Christian Recio, Alyssa Moreno, Jose (JoAnna) Moreno, Anthony Solis and Jonathan Recio. Grandchildren, Adrian Cantu, Ryan Rees, Anthony Solis, Kendall Martinez, Damian Moreno, Dylan Moreno, Jasselle Castillo and Mike Castillo. Siblings, Oscar (Cynthia) Martinez and Hector (Irma) Martinez. Also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. A special thanks to Dr. Zaffirini, Dr. Diego Menchaca, Dr. John Knecht, Dr. Maurice Click and the 4th Floor Staff of Doctors Hospital. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 on Thursday, May 1, 2014 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal Services and Interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
