ELVIRA R. GARZA Elvira R. Garza, 77, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at a local hospital. Mrs. Garza was born in Melchor Ocampo, Nuevo Leon Mexico and had been a resident Laredo, Texas for sometime. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Estefana Ramos and Eliza Ramos and also by her brothers, Juan Jose Ramos and Edelmiro Ramos. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years of marriage, Rodolfo Garza. Son, Rodolfo (Maria Luisa) Garza. Daughters, Elvira (Ponciano) Lopez and Lizette (Juan) Buyo. 6 grandchildren, Fernando Lopez, Ana Carolina Lopez, Mariel Garza, Sharim Garza, Romana Buyo and Grecia Garza. Brothers and Sisters, Elida Lopez, Blanca Emma Sandoval, Ercilia Lopez and Ediberto Ramos. Also numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and many friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2011 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, October 14, 2011 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Laredo City Cemetery.
