Obituary

ELVIRA WIDALES
Elvira Widales, 72, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at a local hospital.
Mrs. Widales was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and had been a long-life resident of Laredo, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Refugio and Cecilia Castro.
Sisters, Rebecca Sanchez and Margarita Castro.
Brothers, Juan Castro, Felix Castro, Angel Castro, Mario Castro and Alberto Castro.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ernesto Widales-Cruz.
Daughters,  Irma Olga Ortiz, Elvira W. (Noe) Rodriguez Jr., Raquel (Joe) Widales-Herrera and Carolina (Jose) Ortiz.
9 grandchildren.
Brother, Jose Trinidad Castro.
Sister, San Juana Castro.
Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018. A Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
