EMILIA BARRERA
Emilia Barrera, 89, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 at a local hospital.
Mrs. Barrera was born in Ciudad Mier, Tamp., Mexico and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernesto and Eleuteria Saldaña.
Brothers, Horacio Saldaña, Leonel Saldaña and Francisco Saldaña.
Sister, Angelica Saldaña.
She is survived by her loving husband, of 66 years of marriage, Manuel Barrera.
Children, Alma (Vicente) Gonzalez, Edith (Fernando) Treviño, Manuel Alberto (Manuela) Barrera and Hugo (Rocio) Barrera.
12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Sister, Amanda Garza.
Brother, Nazario Saldaña.
Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2018. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
