EMILIA C. PENA Emilia C. Pena, 88, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at a local hospital. Mrs. Pena was born in San Antonio, Texas and had been a resident of Laredo, Texas for most of her life. Emilia Pena loved singing she was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She was very loved as well by her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Pena, Sr. Parents, Eugenio and Christina Cisneros. Son, Gilbert Pena, Jr. Son-in-Law, Arturo Silva. She is survived by her children, Elida (Arturo) Ibarra, Esmeralda Silva, Emma (Pablo) Melendez, Janie (Pilar) Moya and Eddie (Carmen) Pena. 24 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and also great-great grandchildren. Brother, Chano (Consuelo) Cisneros. Sister, Eloisa Cruz. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 23, 2015 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Prayer Service will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Southside Chapel, Loop 20 and Zapata Hwy. A chapel service will begin on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 9 a.m. officiated by Enrique Segovia in the funeral home chapel. Committal services and interment will immediately follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
