EMMA LOPEZ

Emma Lopez passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2025, at the age of 95 in Castroville, Texas.

Mrs. Lopez, a native of Laredo, Texas, had recently resided in Castroville, Texas, surrounded by her cherished family. She embraced life wholeheartedly. Music brought her immense joy, and she always incorporated it into her daily experiences. Her grandchildren were her treasure, and she relocated to Castroville specifically to be closer to them and witness their growth. She was an energetic and enthusiastic woman, and her grandchildren were the light of her life. She truly enjoyed them and her family. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years of marriage, Julian Lopez who passed away on July 14, 2011, her parents Guadalupe Sepulveda and Maria Flores Sepulveda and by her brother Ramiro Sepulveda.

She is survived by her sister, Minerva Alvarado.

Her niece and nephew, Sylvia and Tony Pantoja.

Her granchildren, Kristi (Luis) Olivares and  Tony Jr. (Khadija) Pantoja.

Great-grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Lilly and Sarah Olivares.

Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, located at 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. and a  Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. by the San Jose Men's group. Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 with funeral procession departing at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home Chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church. Committal Service and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
