ENEDINA L. HERRERA

Enedina L. Herrera, 87, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026.

Mrs. Herrera was born in San Rafael de las Tortillas Tamaulipas and lived in San Antonio, Texas for 1 year and in East Chicago, Indiana for 15 years. She was also an educator in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico for many years until she married. She will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Alexander J. Herrera and by her siblings Blanca Lydia L. Aleman, Leonel Leal, Eloy Leal, Hilda L. Inocencio, Heberto Jaime Leal, Saul Leal and Imelda L. Chapa.

She is surivived by her daughters, Yvonne L. Herrera and Marion Y. (Tim) Herrera-Wisk.

Her siblings, Isidro Leal, Lucrecia L. Garcia and Enedelia Leal.

She is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a vigil of the deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside CHapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home at 8:30 am on Monday, March 30, 2026. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
