ENRIQUE CHAPA SR. Enrique Chapa, Sr., 65, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2013 at a local hospital. Mr. Chapa was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon Mexico and had been a resident of Laredo, Texas for most of his life. Mr. Chapa had been employed with a number of retail men's store as a sales person for over 35 years, the first 20 years were with Casa Raul, Then he had been employed with Joe Brand Men's Store, New York for Men, Portofino and Sulaks. He is preceded in death by his parents, Praxedis and Maria De Los Angeles Chapa. Sister, Lucia Chapa. Brothers, Gerardo Chapa and Ricardo Chapa. He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Guadalupe Chapa. Children, Erika (Ricardo) Gonzalez, Enrique (Nancy) Chapa, Jr., Eduardo (Claudia) Chapa, Everardo (Martha) Chapa and Abraham (Nidia) Chapa. 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Sister, Irma (Guillermo) Rivera. Brothers, Rogelio (Carmela) Chapa and Mario (Eloisa) Chapa. The family would like to extend a special heartfelt gratitude to Norma Trevino and Mely Garcia for all their special attention and care that they both gave to him. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:15 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2013 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Nuestra Senora Del Rosario Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
