Enrique Degollado's Obituary
ENRIQUE DEGOLLADO SR.
Enrique Degollado Sr., passed away peacefully, at home, on Sunday, August 23, 2020.
He was 84 years old. Born in Laredo, Texas, on July 15, 1936. Enrique was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, who loved dancing, music, watching sports, and spending time and traveling with his family and friends. Enrique dedicated 36 years of service to the Webb County Sherriff's Office, as a deputy, and 12 years to the United States Marshals Service.
Enrique is preceded in death by his parents, Matias and Guadalupe Degollado, and some siblings.
Enrique is survived by his beloved wife, of 57 years, Cresencia, and his children: Enrique (Adriana) Degollado, Jr., Rosalinda (Joe Perez, Jr.) Valadez, Cristina (Amado) Rivera, and Araceli (Julio Carramán) Degollado. Eight grandchildren: Enrique D., Eduardo D., and Evan D. Degollado; Selena Valadez; Marcos and Cesar (Valerie) Rivera; Christopher A. and Cassandra R. Rodriguez; and 4 great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his siblings, Francisco Degollado and Juanita (Juan) Espinoza, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Enrique will be greatly missed by all his family and those who knew him.
Following the Ordinance by the State of Texas, visitations will be limited to 40 people inside our funeral home.
It is preferred for minor children not be allowed to attend services.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made, in his name, to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2020. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Committal services will be held on a later date.
