ENRIQUETA MENDEZ ALANIZ SCHWARZ Mrs. Schwarz was born on November 17, 1928 in Laredo, Texas and passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at the age of 83. She moved to Chicago, Illinois where she worked until she retired. She and her loving husband of 47 years, Joseph Schwarz moved to Laredo in 1991 to join her daughter Yvonne D. Sanchez and her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan Mendez and Guadalupe Alaniz Mendez, her sister Belia M. Jimenez and her brothers, Ermesto and Carlos Mendez. She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Schwarz of Chicago, Illinois. Children, Yvonne Donovan (Bruno) Sanchez and Roy Donovan of Fort Worth. 5 Grandchildren, Raul A. Sanchez (Blanca), Daniel D. Sanchez (Maribel) of Laredo and Yvette D. Nieto, Patrick Donovan (Jenny) and Katelyn Donovan of Fort Worth, Texas. 5 Great-grandchildren, Miyah, Jaidah and Asiah Nieto of Ft. Worth, Texas and Jacob M. Sanchez and Donovan D. Sanchez of Laredo, Texas. Sister-in-law, Maria Del Jesus Mendez of Taft, Texas. Also other family members including numerous cousins of the Alaniz family and numerous nieces and nephews of Taft, Texas and Corpus Christi, Texas. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2012 from 4 to 9 p.m. and Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 6 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 4, 2012 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. St. John Newmann Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Laredo City Cemetery.
