ERNESTO C. GARCIA Ernesto C. Garcia, 88, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at a local hospital. Mr. Garcia was born in Encinal, Texas and had been a resident of Laredo for many years. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy in which he served from November 23, 1942 to December 11, 1945. He was trained as a pharmacy mate in Bremerton, Washington and then completed his certification as a dental Technician while serving in the Mare Islands in San Diego California. He was later sent to Guam to parttake in the Pacific Theater. He is preceded in death by his parents Trinidad and Francisca Garcia, his wife Aurelia Garcia who passed away in November 4, 2007; by his son Ernesto Garcia Jr. and by his brothers Trinidad, Jose and Jesus Garcia. He is survived by his three children; Anna M. (Jose) Aguilar, Carmen (Ignacio) Rosales and Rebecca (Roberto) Ramirez. His 10 grandchildren; Lisa Aguilar, Adrian (Laura) Aguilar, Aimee (Juan) Guajardo, Patricia Garcia, Rebecca (George) Fuentes, Erica (Steven) Brown, Bianca (Juan) Luna, Jason (Sandra) Ramirez, Rolando (Desi) Ramirez and Amanda Ramirez. 19 Great-grandchildren. His sister: Francisca (Anastacio) Perales. Also surviving him are numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon a Religious service will be held at noon in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Funeral Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. A graveside service will be concluded held at 1p.m. at the Encinal Cemetery in Encinal Texas. Committal service and interment will immediately follow.
