ESPERANZA C. GONZALEZ Esperanza C. Gonzalez, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at the age of 79. Mrs. Gonzalez was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. Esperanza provided over 40 years of service to her community, She owned and operated Gonzalez Groceries. She was a member of Iglesia Cristiana Pentacosta and she was very devoted and close to her "Familia en Cristo." She married the love of her life in 1978 Juventino Gonzalez. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tomas and Gregoria Gonzalez who passed away 1968. Brothers, Thomas Gonzalez Jr. passed away 1992, Victor Gonzalez passed away 1989, Juan (Francisca) Gonzalez and Higinio Gonzalez. Sister, Epifania (Rodolfo) Bustos. Nephews, Thomas Gonzalez III who passed away 1993, Juan Antonio Bustos, Guadalupe Victor Villarreal who passed away 1991 and Victor Gonzalez. Brother-in-Law, Richard Shutts. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years of marriage, Juventino Gonzalez. Sisters, Maria Luisa (Esteban) Villarreal, Maria Gonzalez and Hortencia Shutts. Sister-in-Law, Olga Gonzalez. Also surviving her are nephews, nieces, numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2012 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Prayer service officiated by Pastor Segura will be held at 6 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. A Religious Service will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2012 officiated by Pastor Segura. Committal services and interment will immediately follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
