ESPERANZA MEDINA

Esperanza Medina, 68, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at a local hospital.

Ms. Medina was born in St. Paul Minnesota but had been a lifelong resident of Laredo.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Monica Elisa Medina who passed away in 2002, by her grandson Alberto Medina Jr., her parents, Antonio Rodriguez and  Carmen S. Rodriguez and by her sisters and brothers, Dora Rodriguez, Antonio Rodriguez Jr., Maria Guadalupe Hernandez and Jorge Luis Rodriguez.

She is survived by her children, Alfonso (Trianna) Medina Jr., Adalberto Medina and Alberto (Claudia Garcia) Medina.

Grandchildren, Kassandra Medina, Kaydie Medina, Andrew Medina, Audrey Medina, Alan Medina, Adrian Medina, Jose Hector Rendon and Abraham Medina.

Brother: Hortencia (Roberto) Garcia, Maria Elena (Fernando) Mendez, Consuelo (Eduardo) Rodriguez, Gerardo (Emma Ramos) Rodriguez.

Aunts, Graciela Gonzalez.

Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave . Holy Mass was celebrated at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

PALLBEARERS WERE: Alfonso Medina, Alberto Medina, Kassandra Medina, Ivan Morales, Jorge Rodriguez, Jose Francisco Saldana. Kaydie Medina and Sergio Martinez.

HONORARY PALLBEARER: Adalberto Medina.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Funeral Chapels, 800 Boston St. Laredo, Texas.
