Eva F. Ramirez grand matriarch, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the blessed age of 101. Mrs. Ramirez began her journey in life on August 19, 1911 in the little town of Bustamante Nuevo Leon Mexico. Her parents Piedad and Maria Refugia Flores migrated to Joyce, Texas when she was 11 months old. She began working in agriculture at age 9. She met her husband Eugenio Ramirez and both worked harvesting the fields. Together they raised 8 children; Paula (Sigifredo) Liendo, Donicio (Celia) Eluterio (Rita), Diamantina, (deceased in infancy) Eugenio Jr., Francisco (deceased in infancy), Diamantina Concepcion, Eloy Issac (Yolanda) and adopted son Jose Ramirez. Mrs. Ramirez is preceded in death by her parents , husband, brother Adan Flores sister Agrepina De Leon, 7 of her children, 2 grandchildren Edward Eugene Ramirez, John Sigifredo Liendo and a great grandchild Leroy Navarro. She is survived by a sole daughter Diamantina Conception, her grandchildren, Daniel Liendo, Rosa Donicio jr. Rosendo, Rolando, Rudy, Rhoda, Rafael, Raquel, Eva, Alfredo, David, Eduardo, Sandra Patricia, Julio, Eloy, Issac and Angel Ramirez. She also is survived by 58 great grandchildren, 71 great- great -grand children, and 2 great great -great- grandchildren. "Mrs. Ramirez will be truly missed by her family and friends. "Te queremos mucho buelita" Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2013 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Mother Cabrini Church in which she and her husband were co-founders of. Commital services and interment will then follow in the family plot in the Catholic Cemetery.
