EVANGELINA D. GARCIA Evangelina D. Garcia, 71, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012 at a local hospita. Mrs. Garcia was born in El Alamo Vallecio, Nuevo Leon Mexico en La Hacienda. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Maria Concepcion Delgado. Brother, Eleazar Delgado. Grandson, Juan Antonio Garza. Brother-in-Law, Regulo De Leon. She is survived by her husband, Amando Garcia Sr. Children, Evangelina (Elizardo) Gonzalez, Amando (Eloisa) Garcia Jr., Josefina (Juan) Garza, Sandra Garcia, Veronica (Ramon) Benavides, Jose Artemio Garcia, Claudia (Daniel) De La Garza and Luis Eduardo Garcia. 25 grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren Brothers, Juan (Micaela) Delgado, Enrique (Esmeralda) Delgado and Jorge Delgado. Sisters, Amelia (Guadalupe) Arredondo, Ramona De Leon, Rosa (Jose) Yunes and Martha (Julio) Fuentes. Sister-in-Law, Leonor Rodriguez Vda. de Delgado. Also surviving her are nephews, nieces, numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 from 5 to 10 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Zapata, Tx. A Vigil of the Deceased will be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Committal services and interment will then conclude in the Zapata County Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Funeral Chapels in Laredo, Tx.
