EVANGELINA P. LANCON 04/29/1928 - 07/19/2012 Evangelina P. Lancon, 84, passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at a local hospital. Mrs. Lancon was born in Mapimi, Durango, Mexico and had been a resident of Laredo for sometime. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rosa A. and Pablo Puente. Her loving husband, Roberto Lancon and son, Jose Angel Amesquita. She is survived by her children, Veronica Melendez, Ramon Lancon and Evangelina Melendez. Siblings, Maria Torres and Jose Angel Puente. Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 20, 2012 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 6:30 p.m. officiated by Deacon David Vargas in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Southside Chapels, Loop 20 and Zapata Hwy. Committal services will be held at a later date.
