Another link of our family chain has gone to heaven as Evangelina "Eva" Elena Villarreal passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, in Laredo, Texas at the age of 93.

Eva had lived in Los Angeles, California for over 50 years. She moved back to Laredo after a successful career as an Executive Secretary for various companies.

She is survived by her loving sisters and brother-in-law Josefina (Luis) Diaz de Leon; Carmen Lobo and numerous nieces and nephews.

But even though Eva has left this world, it gives us great comfort that she is now linked with her heavenly family that has preceded her in death, her parents, Guadalupe (Ramona) Villarreal and siblings, Guadalupe (Frank) Quesada; Olga L Villarreal; Victor M. Villarreal; Maria de Los Angeles Villarreal; Cristobal J (Guadalupe) Villarreal; Alicia Villarreal and Ramiro Lobo.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eva's name to the building fund of St John Neumann Catholic Church.

All services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016, in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Visitations will begin at 8:00 a.m. with a rosary at 9:00 a.m. Funeral Services will begin departing the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Holy Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Committal services and internment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
