FAUSTINA RUBIO Faustina Rubio, 92, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at a local retirement home. Mrs. Rubio was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident. She is preceded in death by spouse, Fidencio Rubio. Parents, Paulino and Crescencia Reynero. Brothers and sisters, Angel Reynero, Estefana Ortiz and Miguel Reynero. Nephews, Rogelio Ortiz and Juan Trevino. She is survived by daughter, Ana L. (David H.) Piton. Grandson, David (Michelle) Piton, II. Nieces, Hilda (Abraham) Posadas, Juanita Reynero and Guadalupe Ortiz. Cousin, Francisca Reynero. Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends. Family would like to give a heartfelt gratitude to Dr. John G. Knecht and Dr. Norberto Alvarez for all their care and attention and also to Altus Hospice nurses and staff and to nurses and staff in the café wing of Regent Care Center and Regent Care Center for all the assistance they have provided the family and also to the staff at Primary Care Center for all their services and undivided attention. Family would also like to thank Francisca Moncada and Isabel Leal for their special attention they gave to Mrs. Rubio. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and A Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:05 a.m. on Monday, September 15, 2014 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Laredo City Cemetery.
