MELENDEZ JR.
Felipe A. Melendez Jr, 70, also know as "El Raspa Man", passed away on October 23, 2018 in Laredo, Texas.
Mr. Melendez was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Felipe and Carmen Melendez Sr.
Daughter, Maria Guadalupe Melendez.
Sisters, San Juanita Alvarez and Rosa Maria Mejia.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 51 years of marriage, Maria Magdalena Melendez.
Children, Maria Del Carmen (Mauricio) Flores and Felipe A. (Laura) Melendez III.
Grandchildren, Mauricio A. Flores Jr., Enrique Alejandro Flores, Melanie Marlene (Daniel Torres) Melendez, Albert Justin "AJ" Melendez, Krissel Rodriguez and Joseph (Jocelyn) Rodriguez.
4 great grandchildren.
Brothers, Jose Gabriel (Noelia) Melendez and Jesus Javier (Sylvia) Melendez.
Sisters, Maria Antonia (Matias) Villafranca, Maria del Rosario (Tony) Espinoza, Ernestina Melendez and Graciela (Leticia Lugo) Melendez.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston ST. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2018. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Christ The King Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow in the Laredo City Cemetery.
